Does Yelp really support Women's rights?
Yelp has a history of being outspoken in support of women's rights. In March of 2017, the company published a blog post in which it outlined five ways in which it was working to support its female employees and promote gender equality. These included offering paid parental leave, providing unconscious bias training, and ensuring that its leadership team is diverse. Yelp also pledged to donate $100,000 to the Women's March Foundation.
The hypocrisy of abortion as a corporate perk
While corporate policies that cover out-of-state travel expenses for an abortion may benefit some people, there are problems with this approach. Some employees, such as single parents or those responsible for the care of an elderly relative, may not have the flexibility to travel.
