Microsoft has achieved a perfect score in the last Corporate Equality Index by HRC thanks to its own policies and benefits promoting inclusion of their LGBTQ+ employees. Microsoft has been vocal in its support for LGBTQ rights and has been a strong advocate for the community for many years. In 2022, Microsoft continued its commitment to advancing LGBTQ rights, both internally and externally. Within the workplace, Microsoft actively works to ensure an inclusive and safe environment for LGBTQ employees, and offers resources to ensure they have access to the same benefits and opportunities as their non-LGBTQ colleagues. Microsoft also makes sure its suppliers and partners adhere to non-discrimination policies which include gender identity and sexual orientation. Externally, Microsoft is a strong supporter of LGBTQ rights, including participating in the annual Pride Parade and contributing to organizations that advocate for LGBTQ rights. Microsoft also works to ensure their products, services, and advertising are inclusive of the LGBTQ community. Microsoft has also been a leader in political contributions, supporting pro-LGBTQ candidates and legislation.

Salesforce is and has been for years one of the leading companies in the US and globally when it comes to promoting LBGTQ+ inclusion in the workforce and across society. Even at times or in countries/states where this position has been uncomfortable to defend, Salesforce has been very firm and vocal about it, and even offered additional protections to its own employees to prevent any negative impact caused by local regulations, or help people 'circumvent" it. Few companies have promoted LGBTQ+ rights as strongly as Salesforce has.
