General Motors has achieved a 90/100 score in the Corporate Equality Index by Human Rights Campaign, missing only equivalency in same- and different-sex domestic partner medical and soft benefits for their employees from getting the top score. However, while being very actively supporting LGBTQ+ inclusion with employees and with the press, General Motors has also made over 60 contributions to 35 different lawmakers who support discriminatory, anti-trans legislation across several states.
