Does Entergy really support Voting Rights?
Entergy has a long history of fighting against voting rights. In 2013, the company spent more than $1 million fighting a ballot initiative in New Orleans that would have allowed residents to elect their own energy provider. The company claimed that the measure would have increased energy costs, but opponents argued that Entergy was simply trying to protect its monopoly.
