Does Almay really support Animal Rights?

Almay is owned by Revlon

Almay is not entirely cruelty-free. Almay and its parent company Revlon do business in China, where animal testing is required by law. So even if this brand is cruelty free in other parts of the world, it is not entirely cruelty free. Almay, however, is still making inaccurate and misleading claims about this. On their site, they have the following claim "Almay loves its furry friends. We do not test our products on animals and, instead, we substantiate the safety of all of our products the humane and modern way–using state-of-the-art product-safety principles and methodologies." They also feature a made up cruelty-free logo with a bunny on their homepage, in an obvious attempt to confuse customers and make them believe they have been certified by Leaping Bunny, which has similar logo. The bad score of Almay reflects not only their partial cruelty-free status, but also their deceitful behavior on their site.
